Viva Salsa

Our Salsa Workshop has been designed to highlight the importance of team work and communication in a fun dancing environment!

Charismatic Carlos and Yilbert of Venezuela will run an exciting salsa style workshop where all team members begin learning the basic steps. Then the group will form a large circle where dancers practice their moves in a continuously changing partner fashion. As soon as the basic moves have sank into the core of our creative bodies the group will be split into teams where they have a set time to produce a performance routine based on the things they have learned. Our professionals Carlos and Yilbert then judge the spectacular performances and give marks based on style, coordination, and stage presence!

Benefits you're probably aware of:

Incorporating light exercise with a team event is beneficial in many ways, for one it's far more engaging and stimulating to be moving around whilst being creative with your team. When we learn the basic steps our brains are being engaged in both cognitive and physical awakening. We have to learn the movements mentally then put them into practice physically, this dual stimulation provokes a slight feeling of confusion and unease that we feel all too often when taking on new challenges in the work place - it's called cognitive dissonance. When we recognise cognitive dissonance it's a signal that we need to learn a skill! By recognising and accepting this we become more powerful.

  • Team events that include physical movement are far more engaging
  • By practicing creative physical expression we can enhance our communication
  • Viva Salsa is a team event that stretches the comfort zone
  • Viva Salsa gives all of the benefits of any team event plus the added benefit of light exercise

Options you might like to consider:

  • Weekly / Monthly sessions to bring your team closer together
